Accessible London Grants Programme
Funding is intended to support work that will help to remove the barriers that prevent disabled people from leading lives that are as independent or fulfilling as they would like. The Accessible London Grants Programme is provided and administered by The City Bridge Trust which believes that artistic and sporting activities play an important part in opening up opportunities for disabled people. It recognises that accessible transport and improving access to community buildings are essential in helping disabled people living in London make the most of what London has to offer.
Grants can be used for:
Accessible Transport
- To help with the purchase of a new accessible vehicle (up to 50% of the capital cost of new accessible vehicles)
- Work seeking to generate new business and develop new income streams for community transport schemes, improving their longer-term financial sustainability.
Accessible Buildings (up to £5,000 for access audits, disability equalities training and related consultancy. Up to £50,000 for capital or revenue costs or both for funding on major venues.)
- To access audits, disability equalities training and related consultancy.
- Work which improves access to buildings in the third sector. This may include both the capital cost of the works and/or the associated project management costs.
Accessible Arts and Sports:
- Work which increases disabled people's participation in arts and sporting opportunities.
