Aged 16-18? Get involved in London 2012!

More than 2,000 young volunteers from around the UK will be recruited to help out during the Games. Around 250 teams of young people aged between 16 and 18 will join the adult Games Makers, making a total of up to 70,000 dedicated volunteers on hand to help stage London 2012.

Recruitment of Young Games Makers for some specialist roles, such as ball boys and girls, has started through the national governing body of the relevant sport. Applications for the more numerous generalist roles, such as carrying athletes' kit, will be made through the London 2012 website from 22 September – 13 October 2011. These roles must be applied for by team leaders from recognised organisations, such as sports clubs and schools that are part of the London 2012 Get Set network.
