
Contract to provide services for people with learning disabilities in Islington
Islington Council is inviting applications to provide non-statutory services for people with Learning Disabilities and their families and carers.
The duration of the contract is three years with an option to extend for a further two years.
The Council's current services consist of a range of activities for people with Learning Disabilities aged 18 and over including:
- Support and advocacy to both people with Learning Disabilities and families/carers.
- Training on Learning Disability awareness and issues for external organisations.
- Providing independent Service User and Family/Carer led monitoring visits to other Learning Disability services in Islington.
- Giving people with Learning Disabilities a voice on the Islington Learning Disability Partnership Board.
Services will be divided into three groups and applicants will be able to bid for all three groups. A maximum of four bids will be shortlisted for each group.
Applicants will be required to:
- Demonstrate a minimum track record of three years providing services to people with Learning Disabilities.
- Support fair wages for staff delivering the Advocacy Services and the Social Inclusion and Leisure Opportunities contracts by paying the London Living Wage, with fair sickness, union and leave entitlements.
