Final week! City of London Festival runs until 16 July

The City of London Festival continues to celebrate London’s connections with the rest of the globe. This summer’s focus is on Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific, with the Square Mile coming to life, both indoors and out, in a creative and vibrant programme of music, street art, dance, film, walks and birdsong.

New Zealand-born organist Dame Gillian Weir will perform in Saint-Saëns’ Organ Symphony with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra conducted by Simone Young (St Paul’s, 12 July).

Major public art in the Festival’s outdoor programme includes the world premiere of Organ of Corti, winner of this year’s £50,000 PRS New Music award, created by Liminal. A sculpture of sonic crystals, this monumental installation filters the City’s ambient traffic noise and creates subtle shifting harmonies for passers-by to enjoy.

Luke Jerram returns to the Festival for a third time with the ever-popular "Play Me, I’m Yours" street pianos.
