Full house as organisations display their work
The CITY.COMMunity Fair welcomed 42 voluntary and community organisations, members of the public and representatives of local businesses to Bishopsgate Institute on 9 June 2010.
The Great Hall was packed with stallholders bringing ideas, news and information about the voluntary and community sector in the Square Mile. 140 people signed in between 12 noon and 3pm.
Organisations made links with each other and began conversations about possible future collaboration. It was a great opportunity to find out who was who and how organisations are contributing to a thriving Third Sector. Corporate Social Responsibility representatives also made links with community organisations. We'll let you know of any results from the networking opportunties!
The quiz, with prizes sponsored by Heath Lambert, was won by Tahmina Khanam of City and Hackney Carers' Centre and Savitrie Baichoo of Mosaic.
