Making a donation is as simple as sending a tweet or text

An icon you will see more of? Givey is a new mobile fundraising tool, launched on 23 May.

Givey allows donations to be made through new and developing communication channels, such as Twitter and Facebook, as well as traditional channels like SMS, email or online.

Givey has been developed by social entrepreneur David Erasmus and works in partnership with PayPal and MissionFish (the charitable arm of ebay).

Costs
A total of 5% is deducted from each donation. 1.25% is allocated to Givey. 3.75% is allocated to MissionFish, who handle all payment and Gift-Aid processing. Gift-Aid is then applied to the remainder of the donation.
