Men Who Care Group

City and Hackney Carers' Centre hosts a friendly group for men who care for someone. It meets every fourth Wednesday of the month from 2-4pm. Tea, coffee and snacks provided free.

Venue: Dahlia Room, City and Hackney Carers Centre, 96−102 Springfeld House, Tyssen Street, Dalston, London E8 2LZ.

This group has been running for eight years and is open to all men who care for someone.

The stress and strains of caring are shared, as well as the rewards and benefts of looking after the person being cared for.

The success of the group is based on:

  • Developing Health Awareness
  • Talking about the health needs of Carers and the person being cared for
  • Having breaks from Caring via trips or lunch
  • Guest speakers on various topics
  • Relaxing and having a laugh
