Modernising Policing: Reform and Social Responsibility

This fourth annual Modernising Policing conference is being held at The Barbican, London, on 7 December 2010. This event is CPD certified.

Delivering efficiencies alone will not be enough. A radical redesign of workforce strategy and how officers work is required in this era of austerity.

The challenge will be how to reorganise, collaborate more effectively and prioritise the core services that police can provide. Police authorities must meet the budget targets by ensuring value for money is achieved, the quality of service continues to improve and back office efficiencies are successfully implemented.
