New Community Development Officer says 'hello'

Aneesa Chaudhry has just been appointed by CITY.COMM to work at the Portsoken Community Centre.

Aneesa writes:

Hi everyone! I joined CITY.COMM in late June as Community Development Officer and wanted to let you know that you can find me at the Green Box most Thursdays and Fridays.

The aim of my role is to help bring the residents of the Portsoken Estate to a position where you can run the centre and activities yourselves in eight months' time and make sure there are systems in place to enable you to do this.

Whilst there is quite a bit to do, I am very excited about making steady progress over the coming months and meeting you and service providers to achieve this goal.

I hope to keep you up to date with activities by placing posters in the windows, information in the CITY.COMM e- bulletin and on the Portsoken website.

There will be a coffee morning during the week of 18 July. I will put up a poster on the windows once we have final details but do come up and say hello!
