Recruitment: Senior Caseworker (2 days/week for 3 years)

The Baobab Centre for Young Survivors in Exile is looking for a dynamic, energetic and very experienced Senior Caseworker (Advice and Advocacy) committed to human rights and the needs of young refugees.

Senior Caseworker – £12,000 (plus 4% employers pension) 2 days per week – 3 year fixed term contract. Closing date: 15 July 2011

The Baobab Centre is a therapeutic community providing psychotherapy and practical support and assistance for children, adolescents, young adults and some families who have experienced extreme violence and who are asylum seekers or refugees. Many have come to the UK unaccompanied.

The Senior Caseworker will join the clinical team and will provide advice and advocacy directly to Baobab clients and will eventually develop and manage a small team of volunteer caseworkers.

The Baobab Centre is a relatively new charity which has recently been granted funding that allows them to recruit a part-time Senior Caseworker.
This is a great opportunity to make a real contribution to a growing organisation.
