In the right place for a grant from Bishopsgate Institute?

Every year Bishopsgate Institute offers a number of grants to organisations that help people in need and have lived or worked in the parishes of St Botolph’s Without Bishopsgate, Christchurch Spitalfields and St Leonard’s Shoreditch, and who have a focus on the elderly or young people.

Closing date: 31 August 2011.

The Award Scheme supports organisations for which a grant of £1,000 to £3,000 will have the greatest impact in terms of helping those in need. Applications for the 2011 scheme are now open.

Grants were awarded in 2010 to Alpha Family Services, Arts for All, 1st City Scout Group, City and East London Bereavement Service, City & Hackney Carers' Centre, Children with AIDS, Heba Women's Project, Hoxton Health, New Step Training and Development Centre, Sandy's Row Synagogue, Spitalfields City Farm and Tower Hamlets Parents' Centre.

The application form, guidelines and a map showing the geographic areas supported by the scheme are on the Bishopsgate Institute website. Go to the website.
