Sister organisations join up to form the Trust for London - Tackling poverty and inequality

City Parochial Foundation and Trust for London have joined up to become "Trust for London: Tackling poverty and inequality".
These two funders were sister organisations, based at the same office with the same staff and Trustees.

There are many ways in which poverty and inequality can be addressed, though the Trust does not have sufficient resources to support all needs.
In developing their priorities they have reviewed what others are doing, consulted people working in this field and considered where they can have the greatest impact.

Much of the open programme builds on their previous work.

The open programme has five priority areas. Trust for London aims to:

  1. Improve employment opportunities for disadvantaged people
  2. Promote the inclusion of recent arrivals to the UK
  3. Promote social justice
  4. Strengthen the skills of the voluntary and community sector
  5. Support small community groups

Each of the five aims and how you can apply to us are explained in detail in their Funding Guidelines 2010-2012 at http://www.trustforlondon.org.uk/grants/funding-guidelines/

If you are currently in receipt of a grant from either City Parochial Foundation or Trust for London these changes will not affect your funding.

There will be no reduction in the amount they give out and Trust for London will continue to make grants through the open programme, develop special initiatives on challenging issues, and commission innovative research.

The Trust will still be run by the same staff and trustees and operate from the same offices, and your main point of contact will remain the same.
