For young people with an interest in architecture

Open House London has volunteering opportunities for young adults, 18-25, to be mentored and trained for this huge London architecture event in September 2011.

Open House London is when hundreds of great buildings of all types and periods open up their doors, completely for FREE. It is a city-wide celebration of the buildings, places and neighbourhoods where we live, work and play, and a quarter of a million people take the opportunity to get out and under the skin of London's amazing architecture.

This opportunity is for you if you:

  • are 18-25 years old and from a local community within Westminster
  • have not participated in OHL before
  • are keen to learn more about volunteering, including stewarding and how to deliver customer services for a large scale event
  • are interested in architecture and London’s history

Open House London can offer you:

  • matching to an experienced OHL guide/steward
  • two day pre-event training and support for a half day at a central Westminster building In Augusti
  • introduction to basic architecture
  • travel expenses
  • invitation to the after-event volunteer party at a London landmark building
  • a free, printed guide to Open House London and being one of the exclusive few who go up the BT TOWER and enjoy the spectacular views from the 34th floor !
