Support for Voluntary and Community Groups in the City

CITY.COMM aims to provide a wide range of information, advice and support to the City's many voluntary organisations.

  Does my organisation need support ?

• Many voluntary and community groups have no paid staff and rely on the time and enthusiasm of volunteers
• Changes in local and national policy can be confusing. Keeping up to date and involved is a challenge for many in the sector
• Some communities and voluntary groups struggle to make their voices heard in local debates about the way services should be run in the future
• The process of competing for contracts is challenging. Many smaller organisations need support to understand the process, or need to gain confidence and skills to apply
• Funding for community groups is becoming scarce and competition for the remaining resources is fierce.
