Fossbox is kicking off an Autumn of free workshops with a special Software Freedom Day event (and barbeque). More details of all our workshops at www.fossbox.org.uk/blog
1. Software Freedom Day - 17 September
Times are hard, so come and see how Free Software and Ubuntu can spruce up older PCs and laptops for free - with hands-on demos, tours, presentations and workshops and free Ubuntu CDs and other goodies to take home. Plain, non-techie language and demos by people already using it in VCOs and SEs. Drop in or stay the whole day.

2. Simple Websites with Wordpress - 23 September
Back by popular demand - taking you step by step through using Wordpress to create and style a website, add extra features (such as events, social media icons etc etc) and keep it updated. Hands on practice with real Wordpress sites.

3. Ubuntu Taster & Installation Workshop - 12 October
Would you like to get a new lease of life from existing PCs, servers and laptops? Or learn about innovations in low-power/space-saving computers? Ubuntu is a fully-featured Desktop environment which can provide a user-friendly alternative to Windows or Mac OS. We’ll show you around Ubuntu and some of the software available for it and walk you through installing it.

4. Simple Podcasting for YouTube - TBA
Most people find information in videos much easier to take in than text, but it's not always easy for organisations to make and share podcasts. This is easy and free on the Ubuntu Desktop using the PiTiVi video editor. Podcasts can be uploaded to YouTube and from there can be easily integrated with a Wordpress website.
We'll be posting more details of the Podcasting workshop, which will take place in late October, when dates are finalised.
